This section of the site is where I'm logging all the stuff I've watched or read, even the stuff I've dropped, and rating it, in a sense. This is really just my personal reccomendation list but a bit more complicated.

This isn't in any real order, it's just what comes to mind for me, so please know that.

To-Do

The Girl from The Other Side

Finished

This series is genuinely probably the closest thing to perfection I've ever read. It's genuinely amazing in all aspects: the art style is pleasing to me, contrasted by the pure depression I was feeling reading through some of the parts. I don't want to spoil anything about the story, I want you to read it yourself. It's an amazing story, but it gets really fucking sad at some points, which really comes to make you appreciate those little moments of happiness spread throughout the story. It's the little things that really highlight the strength of how it is written, especially with the atmosphere of something being off. Other than Shiva, you are rarely introduced to other humans, the only real one being when you see Teacher's backstory.

10/10. Would not recommend.

Rainbow and Black

Finished

Honestly, the only reason I managed to finish this one was because it's only 3 volumes long. It's boring to me, and I know it's a slice of life, but still, it could've been more interesting with the little creature I forgot the name of. The main character just feels flatter than a piece of paper, their main (and possibly only) significant trait in the story is that they like the colors black and white. The story isn't that interesting to me to be completely honest.

Dragon Quest 11

Finished

This has to be in my top 5 favorite games. I'm always a sucker for RPGs, and I also like cool dragons too. While there's not as many dragons as you think there would be, it's also a really fun turn-based rpg to me. The world is quite cool looking, especially with the variety of locations and enviorments you can go to. Akira Toriyama is a really talented artist, and the character designs for the main cast all work well. I also really enjoy everyone's distinct personalities, and how they interact with eachother.

My only real complaint is with act 3's entire existence, but I've already written something about that over in the library section of the site.

Live A Live

Finished

Probably my all-time favorite game and piece of media, period. There's probably going to be something on the library page of me just yapping about the game, so I won't put that here.

Just know that I'm genuinely obsessed with the game.

Dragon Quest 8

On-hold

Had to put playing the game on hold due to school, but so far I enjoy it quite a bit.

Dragon Quest 7

On-hold

Same thing with 8, but I started playing it when the remake released so that I could see what they changed. Haven't played the remake yet, holding that off until I clear the og game

Steven Universe

Finished

This show has to be one of my favorites. I really enjoyed it, especially the character designs. I know the ending isn't the absolute greatest, but it still tied the thing together as best as the team could with the show being cancelled. You can see how the animation evolves throughout the show, along with how the story grew into something more than a slice of life comedy thing.

The movie was great, it had an amazing soundtrack and the introduction of Spinel was pretty good, though I do relate to her a bit too much... that won't be unpacked here. The idea of Steg was pretty cool, as he is an enbodiment of what Steven and Greg see eachother as, as stated by Rebecca Sugar herself.

Future wasn't the strongest sequel series, in my opinion, but it was still good. Steven's been through a lot, and unpacking that trauma was an interesting concept, especially with the second to last episode where Steven turns into a fucking kaiju. I feel though that the major fault of the show is how Steven is characterized, especially with the Jasper episode. He runs away and trains with Jasper, and ends up actually killing her for a bit. His character just felt... off.

either way, I like the franchise.

Stardew Valley

???

I like this game a lot. Since I live in Arizona, the best I can grow are cacti and somehow a single basil plant that is hanging on by a thread for it's dear life, so being able to care for a lot of plants is a lot of fun!

Also, I added my cat, so now they're two of them, though one is digital. Still, kitti.
